Steelcase Art Projects presents the opening reception of FACE/WASTE, Art Exhibition held at 200 Steelcase Rd E, Markham. This event showcases the works of 31 exceptionally talented artists.
Face/Waste – curated by Yuluo Anita Wei – is a group exhibition inside a semi-demolished warehouse that delves into the deeper relationship between humans, the material world, and the land. Face/Waste opens that narrative as artists face the waste created through their art practice and daily life, with honesty.
This exhibition will be held at Industrial Arts from October 19 to December 15. Once the exhibition is complete, the space will be transformed into subsidized artist studios

"The partnerships with local performance venues - subsidizing the cost of hiring musicians for restaurants & bars has been a very wise and helpful initiative."
"It's made it easier to land work in town given that a lot of bar owners are skeptical of paying my fee as a musician. It's made it easier to make the work more consistent."
"Art inspires, delights, awes, enlightens, and lifts me up."
“Thank you. You're doing wonderful things for the Markham Arts community.”
