The mission of the Markham Arts Council is to serve the community by providing arts and cultural education by supporting the development of all forms of arts and culture in Markham, thereby enhancing the community’s well-being.

MAC supports its mission and vision through
- Collaboration: Cooperate with artists and arts organizations of other disciplines and cultures to build collaborative projects and activities.
- Creativity: Offer and encourage creative growth by providing space for new and seasoned artists to learn and flourish in their craft.
- Community: Get involved and dialogue with Markham’s arts community through activism and support all forms of artistic expression
