Artist Unplugged is a web series that features performances from musicians in the community. The programming is diverse and features both artists who have already made a name for themselves, as well as young rising talents. Featured artists have released solo albums, performed at world-class venues such as Carnegie Hall, and worked with leading musicians such as Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Since launching this series in Fall 2020, the Markham Arts Council has featured more than 20 singers, songwriters, and multi-instrumentalists who have performed rock, jazz, blues, classical, theatre, and country music, among other genres. Check out all the episodes (including holiday specials!) on MAC’s YouTube channel.
This programming content has been made possible due to the partnership contributions by the City of Markham through their Celebrate Markham funding and Central Counties Tourism.
