Visual Art Shows and Workshops

The Markham Arts Council regularly hosts workshops spanning a wide range of art disciplines. These events showcase the incredible artists in the city while helping community members find new hobbies, connect with others, and develop their artistic pursuits.

MAC hosts workshops for seniors, serving as a great way to make friends while creating art. See below for events titled Art for Seniors. The Markham Teen Arts Council (satellite committee) regularly offers workshops as well – details at markhamteenarts.org.

Past Markham Arts Council workshops included Nature and the Unusual Art Exhibit at the McKay Art Centre, Comic Book, ‘Pop Art’ Words with local artist Ruth Toy, Love of Nature with Anu Kalra (Art for Seniors), Poppy Making with textile artist Elina Ten, and Little Treasures Keepsake Box (Art for Seniors) with Linda McIntosh, among many others.
